Accredited ETEEAP Schools
The journey to earning a college degree through work experience begins with finding the right institution. In the Philippines, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) meticulously evaluates and authorizes specific universities and colleges to implement the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
Below is our comprehensive directory of deputized Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). These schools have undergone rigorous quality assurance to ensure that the equivalency degrees they grant meet the highest academic standards.
Accredited SchoolsNotice
As of May 2026, only six higher education institutions (HEIs) have been formally re-deputized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to continue offering degree programs under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). Their re-deputized status allows them to assess and recognize prior learning, work experience, and professional competencies of qualified individuals seeking to earn a college degree through ETEEAP. These institutions are:
- Holy Angel University
- Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, Inc.
- Cebu Institute of Technology–University
- University of the Cordilleras
- University of Baguio
- Romblon State University
Meanwhile, other previously deputized institutions are currently under "For Recertification" status and are awaiting the completion of CHED's recertification process.
The Significance of CHED Deputization
Not every university in the Philippines is allowed to offer ETEEAP. Deputization is a special status granted only to institutions that demonstrate excellence in specific academic fields. For instance, a school might be a "Center of Excellence" in Business Administration but not in Engineering.
According to the ETEEAP Act of 2025 (RA 12124), deputized institutions are required to maintain robust systems for competency-based assessment and quality assurance. This ensures that when you graduate, your degree is legally equivalent to a traditional four-year diploma, qualifying you for promotions, government positions, and professional licensure examinations.
Regional Accessibility and Support for OFWs
One of the core goals of ETEEAP.PH is to bring these opportunities closer to working professionals, regardless of their location. Our directory includes schools from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. From the industrial hubs of CALABARZON to the academic centers of Cebu and Davao, there is a path forward for everyone.
Importantly, many deputized schools have expanded their reach to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). By leveraging digital platforms for interviews, portfolio submission, and modular learning, these institutions allow Filipinos working in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia to attain their degrees without having to interrupt their careers abroad.
Tips for Choosing the Right School
- Program Specialty: Choose a school that is widely recognized in your specific industry. A degree from a university known for your field carries more weight in professional circles.
- Modalities: Verify if the school offers fully online assessments or if physical presence is required for practical demonstrations or graduation rites.
- Cost vs. Reputation: While State Universities (SUCs) often have lower fees, private autonomous universities might offer more flexible scheduling. Weigh your budget against your need for speed and convenience.
