Step 1: Research Accredited Schools

Step 2: Select Your Degree Program

Step 3: Gather Your Documents

Prepare your documentary requirements: proof of work experience, certificates, training records, performance evaluations, and any relevant accomplishments. Most schools require at least 5 years of relevant work experience with supporting documentation. Organize these chronologically before contacting schools.

Step 4: Contact Your Chosen School

Reach out to the ETEEAP office of your chosen school. Provide them with your documents and desired program. They will conduct an initial review and schedule you for a consultation or panel assessment. Be prepared to discuss your career progression and how your experience aligns with the program.

Step 5: Undergo Assessment & Panel Interview

Once your documents are pre-screened, you will undergo a formal competency assessment. This usually includes a written examination and a panel interview with academic and industry experts. Be ready to articulate your "narrative of competence" and defend how your actual professional accomplishments meet the academic standards of the degree.

Step 6: Complete Enrichment & Graduation

If the panel identifies gaps between your experience and the curriculum, you'll enter the "Enrichment Phase." You must complete supplemental modules, research papers, or projects to bridge these gaps. Upon successful completion of all requirements and payment of final fees, you will be awarded your CHED-recognized degree.
