Before You Apply: A Quick Eligibility Check
Before you collect a single document, make sure you actually qualify. Under Republic Act No. 12124, the national law that now permanently institutionalizes the ETEEAP, the basic requirements are the same across all deputized schools. You must be at least 23 years old, a Filipino citizen, have completed secondary education, and have at least five years of aggregate work experience in the field related to the degree you are applying for.
Arellano University, like other deputized HEIs, has the authority to add its own admission criteria on top of these national minimums. The proficiency certificate requirement, for example, is standard practice at most schools. If you are unsure whether your background qualifies, check our eligibility guide at eteeap.ph/eligibility/ before doing anything else.
Complete Document Requirements
Getting your documents in order is genuinely the most time-consuming part of the whole process. Start early. Some of these take weeks to obtain.
Here is what Arellano University requires from individual applicants:
A Letter of Intent addressed to Philip M. Flores, Director of ETEEAP, at Arellano University, 2600 Legarda St., Sampaloc, Manila 1008. This is a short formal letter expressing your intention to apply for the program and briefly describing your professional background. It does not need to be elaborate, but it needs to be sincere and addressed correctly.
The CHED-ETEEAP Application Form, which you can download here, submitted together with two pieces of your 1x1 ID photo.
A Comprehensive Resume in original form. Not photocopied. This is your full professional history and it should be thorough.
A Notarized Certificate of Employment with job description, also in original. The notarization matters. A plain certificate of employment from your HR department is not enough on its own.
For your academic records: if you attended college but did not finish, submit your Honorable Dismissal and Transcript of Records. Vocational graduates should also submit these. High school graduates submit Form 137-A and Form 138. If you passed the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) or the ALS Accreditation and Equivalency Assessment, you need the DepEd-certified true copy of that result.
Your PSA-authenticated Birth Certificate, or an Affidavit of Birth issued by PSA, is required as a photocopy. Same for your PSA-issued Marriage Certificate if you are a married woman and your name has changed.
An NBI Clearance or Barangay Clearance, in original. Two valid government-issued IDs in photocopy. Your Government Eligibility, if you have one, in photocopy.
A Proficiency Certificate, if applicable. This can come from a Government Regulatory Board, a licensed practitioner in your field, or a Business Registration document if you are self-employed. Not everyone will have one of these, but if you do, include it.
A Recommendation Letter from your immediate superior, in original, attesting that you are being recommended to undergo ETEEAP. This is not just a character reference. It should specifically vouch for your work-related competencies in the field you are applying for.
A Certificate of Good Moral Character from your previous school, in original.
Photocopies of certificates from trainings, seminars, and workshops you have attended. The more relevant these are to your chosen program, the better.
How to Submit Your Application
Arellano University uses a two-step process. It starts digitally, which is a huge convenience for applicants who live far from Manila.
Initial Digital Submission
Scan all your documents and save them as PDF files. Label each file clearly so the evaluator knows exactly what they are looking at. Send everything to aueteeap@arellano.edu.ph for initial evaluation.
The ETEEAP Office will review your submission and contact you with further instructions. If you pass the initial screening, you will be scheduled for an interview with the assessor and/or the dean of the college of your chosen program. This initial review is important. It saves you from making an unnecessary trip to Manila if there are gaps in your documents.
For applicants based abroad or in distant provinces, this digital step can carry a lot more of the process. The school explicitly offers online processing for these situations. Reach out to the ETEEAP Office to inquire about your specific options.
On-Site Interview Day
Once you are cleared for an in-person interview, prepare two complete sets of requirements: one original set and one photocopy set.
Here is the part that trips up a lot of applicants. Arellano uses a color-coded clear book system for organizing submissions, based on your program:
| Course or Program | Clear Book Color |
|---|---|
| Business Administration | Red |
| Hospitality and Tourism | White |
| Education | Blue |
| Computer Science | Pink |
| Nursing | Yellow |
Insert your requirements into the appropriately colored clear book before you arrive. Submit both sets to the ETEEAP Office for validation and record keeping. Showing up with the wrong color book or loose, disorganized documents creates delays for everyone.
After submission, you will sit for your interview. Depending on the program, this may be with the department assessor, the college dean, or both. Think of it as a professional conversation about your career. They are trying to understand the depth of your experience and whether it genuinely maps to the competencies of the degree you are seeking.

How Much Does ETEEAP at Arellano Cost?
There are two fee structures depending on your program. Arellano has also applied a COVID-19 Assistance Discount that reduces the total for all applicants.
General Programs (Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism, Education, Computer Science, and similar)
The published tuition fee including miscellaneous charges is ₱65,000. After the ₱5,000 COVID-19 Assistance Discount, your total is ₱60,000.
Payment is structured as follows: ₱8,500 on enrollment as your initial down payment, then four equal installment payments of ₱12,875 each, due before major examination dates. Those four installments total ₱51,500, which added to the ₱8,500 down payment brings your full payment to exactly ₱60,000.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Nursing carries a higher fee because of the nature of its competency assessments and clinical requirements. The total tuition and miscellaneous fee is ₱112,000. After the ₱5,000 discount, your total becomes ₱107,000.
For Nursing, the down payment on enrollment is ₱12,000, followed by eight equal installments of ₱11,875 each. This stretches the payment over a longer period to accommodate the more involved program timeline.
